Speaking 1 Topic: When dealing with conflict, is it better to take on a humorous attitude or a serious attitude?

Some people believe that a humorous attitude is much better in solving the conflict; however, some think taking it seriously is better, which one do you prefer?

In the 15 seconds I have for note-taking, here’s what I will jot down:

  1. Humorous attitude
  2. Serious Thinking
  3. Solving the conflict
  4. Comparison

Here’s my detailed response:

I believe that humor is the best practice while dealing with conflict. Laughter is the best medicine and it works helps relieving stress. It works as an effective tool to overcome the awkward situation in any relation.

Moreover, a humorous attitude keeps both parties connected. Smiling faces create a sense of intimacy and positive bondage which lead to workable and practical solutions. However, humor should not harm the emotions and it should be light and enjoyable.

However, a serious attitude may be frustrating for both parties and deadlocks can happen. In short, attitude is the king and it is a part of human nature to get attracted to the positive and humorous attitude.
